Why Is It Called A “Duck Fart” Shot?
This shot’s comical name is said to have originated from a funny anecdote in a bar called the Peanut Farm in Anchorage, Alaska (which is why the name, Alaskan Duck Fart, also refers to the drink). The story concerns the resident bartender and an older woman who were sampling recipes one night. The woman, who, after having tested quite a number of drinks, randomly blurted out, “duck fart.” It’s also said that the woman fired off a few “bottom burps” every now and then.

- 1 Shot Glass Make sure to get a 3 oz shot glass
Ingredients
- 1 oz Kahlua
- 1 oz Irish Cream
- 1 oz Whiskey Use any brand you want, but most people recommend either Crown Royal or Canadian Club
Instructions
- Pour the Kahlua into the bottom of the shot glass.
- Position the bar spoon in the glass just above the Kahlua and slowly pour in the Irish cream.
- Use the same position for your bar spoon to pour in the whiskey.
